Need something to be afraid of? According to the Financial Times, U.N. officials acknowledged today that Iran has enough uranium to build a nuclear bomb. This is more uranium than U.N. officials had previously thought, and the news comes as the Obama administration is drafting its policy on negotiations with Tehran. In order to be weapons-usable, the uranium would require more enrichment. “It appears that Iran has walked right up to the threshold of having enough low enriched uranium to provide enough raw material for a single bomb,” said Peter Zimmerman, a former chief scientist of the US Arms Control and Disarmament Agency.
