Iran Hands Over Uranium to Russia

On Monday Iran handed over its controversial stockpile of enriched uranium to Russia, per the stipulations of the Iran nuclear agreement struck by six nations last summer. The transfer means that Iran no longer has the fuel needed for a nuclear weapon. Iran maintains that the uranium was for medical purposes. In return, major nations such as the U.S. are expected to ease the economic sanctions they have placed against Iran, as part of the agreement.
