Iggy Azalea Got Interviewed By a 10-Year-Old About Her Boob Job at the Kid’s Choice Awards
This is absolutely insane.
It was a night filled with laughs, shrieks, and slime. Amid the cacophony of crazed children at last week’s Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards, the ever-graceful Angelina Jolie stepped out for her first public appearance since the publication of a moving New York Times op-ed chronicling her recent decision to have her ovaries surgically removed.
And Jolie, as is her wont, gave a wonderful speech after accepting the Favorite Villain award for her cheekbone-y turn in the Disney fairy tale Maleficent. “I want to say that when I was little, like Maleficent, I was told that I was different,” Jolie said. “And I felt out of place—too loud, too full of fire, never good at sitting still, never good at fitting in. And then one day I realized something—something that I hope you all realize. Different is good. When someone tells you that you are different, smile and hold your head up and be proud”—she then winked at the crowd, adding—“cause a little trouble… it’s good for you.”
What an inspiring moment. Earlier that day, however, things got decidedly un-classy.
On the red carpet for that very Kid’s Choice Awards show—again, a Nickelodeon program aimed at young children—the gossip show Extra enlisted the services of General Hospital star Nicolas Bechtel, who interviewed a bevy of stars as they sauntered past. Nicolas, by the way, is 10.
When pop diva Igga Azalea came by, he went there, presumably at the urging of some utterly shameless Extra producer. “Al right, so… you talked about getting some work done. Why did you feel the need to be open and tell people?” Yes, Extra got a 10-year-old boy to interview Iggy about her recent boob job. And you thought they couldn’t get any lower.
Iggy plays it off well, laughing in amazement and saying, “I didn’t think you’d be the one asking me this question!”Watch as she hunches over—so as to meet his height—and works her way through an answer.
