Hungary Makes Arrest in Sludge Spill

Hey look, a country where they actually punish negligent businessmen: Hungary has arrested the managing director of the company whose reservoir leaked 200 million gallons of a toxic red sludge into three nearby villages, killing eight people. The man, Zoltan Bakonyi of MAL Zrt, faces up to 10 years in prison, if convicted. Hungary is also enacting a new emergency law to bring MAL Zrt under state control.
