House To Vote Thursday On Obamacare Repeal Bill

Republican leaders have called a vote set for Thursday on a plan to repeal Obamacare, indicating confidence that there might be enough votes to have it clear the House. About 18 Republican lawmakers are publicly opposed to the current plan. And at least an additional two dozen or more are still publicly undecided. President Donald Trump has been active in trying to whip up support for this version of the American Health Care Act, making calls on Tuesday and Wednesday to convince members who were on the fence. This comes after the earlier efforts to pass the bill in the House failed to even reach a floor vote.
