Holder Frightened by New Terror Threat

Attorney General Eric Holder called reports of a Syria-Yemen terrorist partnership “more frightening than anything I think I’ve seen as attorney general.” Speaking on This Week With George Stephanopoulos, he said that intelligence officers have found a Syrian al Qaeda affiliate working with the Yemeni bombmakers behind 2009’s Christmas Day underwear bomb. The TSA has recently increased security due to suspicions that one of the 7,000 European or American passport holders working with Syrian terrorists could hijack a plane. “This is not a test,” Holder said of the new measures. “We’re doing something in reaction to things that we have detected.”
