Heavy Snow Blankets Colorado

Unexpected early snows are causing problems in Colorado, where as much as 10 inches of snowfall has downed trees and power lines and led to numerous traffic accidents. More than 60,000 customers in the northeast part of the state are without power, and energy companies have dispatched armies of tree crews to repair the damage. At least 10 inches of snow fell overnight, and in some cities was still falling Wednesday at a rate of 2 inches per hour.
