HBO released the trailer for its Deadwood movie Thursday, over a decade after the Golden Globe-winning series ended. According to Entertainment Weekly, the 2-hour film is set to air on May 31 and will continue the Western drama’s storyline with the show’s original cast. Ian McShane will reprise his role as Al Swearengen, while Timothy Olyphant will return as Seth Bullock. A new character will also be featured, reportedly played by Jade Pettyjohn. The movie’s script was penned by series creator David Milch. “This town is a sanctuary,” Swearengen can be heard saying in the teaser. “Every man worth a name knows the value of being unreachable.” The Western drama, which received much critical praise, was unexpectedly canceled in 2006 after a three-season run.
