Family members of Vittorio Missoni came forward Thursday to refute claims that his body has been located by authorities. The Guardian and others revised earlier reports on the topic, adding that “doubt has been cast” on the story. Missoni was flying with five other people, including his wife Maurizia Castiglioni and three others, when his plane disappeared off the coast of Venezuela. Until the plane wreckage was found in June, the fashion family hoped the passengers had been kidnapped and were still alive. The mystery, it seems, continues.
