Harper's Editor Fired

One editor whom the iSlate won’t save: According to Media Decoder, Harper’s magazine fired its editor, Roger Hodge, this week, though Harper’s president and publisher said in an interview that Hodge chose to step down. Still, two Harper’s staffers say he was forced out. They say Hodge was given no specific reason for his dismissal, except the general weakness of the magazine’s newsstand sales and circulation. The magazine’s managing editor, Ellen Rosenbush, will take over as acting editor.
