Hamas Fires Rockets to End Ceasefire

Making good on its promise that it would resume attacks after the 72-hour ceasefire in Gaza, Hamas fired several rockets into Israel early Friday morning, according to Israeli Defense Forces. Hamas had demanded that the Israel-imposed blockade on Gaza be lifted and that Gaza's borders be opened. Hamas also demanded that about 100 prisoners held by Israel be freed. Israel, in turn, insistsed that Hamas disarm itself, a notion which Hamas called “inconceivable.”
