Halston Taps Marios Schwab

Marios Schwab will be the new creative director of famed fashion house Halston. Schwab currently designs for an eponymous line, which has been the toast of London Fashion Week since its launch in 2005. Halston, meanwhile, has struggled since its resurrection, and has been without a creative director for a year. Schwab says he’s going to keep his collection in London when he moves to New York to head up Halston, because he loves “the thought of having two fashion metropolises.” He tells British Vogue of his new job: “Of course I feel the pressure. It’s a huge challenge but fashion at the moment needs innovation.”
