Greece Will Default by End of Month

Greece’s central bank admitted Wednesday that it will default and exit the eurozone by the end of the month if the country’s government fails to strike a deal with creditors. Finance ministers are meeting in Luxembourg this week to discuss whether to extend Greece’s bailout program (which expires at the end of the month) or watch it become the first developed country in history to default on the International Monetary Fund. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has accused the IMF of “criminal responsibility” for the country’s woes and has vowed to “assume the responsibility to say ‘the big no’ to a continuation of the catastrophic policies for Greece.”
