GOP Senate Candidate Scrubs Scientology From His Wikipedia

Republican Senate candidate and current Rep. David Jolly admitted Tuesday evening to deliberately scrubbing references to Scientology from his Wikipedia page. As The Daily Beast has previously reported, Jolly’s campaign for a Florida Senate seat has accepted large donations from and attended rallies and fundraisers hosted by the controversial church. Speaking to BuzzFeed, a Jolly spokesperson confessed that “the campaign removed references to Jolly’s past career as a lobbyist, his association with the Church of Scientology, his support for same-sex marriage, and political contributions he made to Democratic candidates,” adding that the removals were simply a “correction” to edits allegedly made by a “rival campaign.”
