Gingrich to African-Americans: Get Off Food Stamps

One would think being accused of racism after calling Barack Obama "the food-stamp president" would deter a presidential candidate from going after the welfare program and its association with the African-American community. "I will go to the NAACP convention and explain to the African-American community why they should demand paychecks instead of food stamps," he promised.
