Kansas will be the setting of the next GOP primary, but Newt Gingrich is foregoing a visit to the Sunflower State to focus his energy on Alabama and Mississippi. The two Southern states will vote next week and are considered necessary wins for the presidential hopeful to stay in the race. Gingrich spokesman R.C. Hammond told reporters in Alabama Wednesday, "A big win in Georgia kept us in the race. Big wins in Alabama and Mississippi will add even more fuel to the tank."
