GE Moving 400 Jobs to France

General Electric is moving 500 jobs overseas after the U.S. Export-Import Bank’s charter expired. The jobs from Texas, South Carolina, Maine, and New York will move largely to France, with an additional 100 split between Hungary and China. The bank, known as Ex-Im, had been used to provide aid for U.S. businesses exporting products, until Republicans forced its charter to expire in July.
