TRUCE OVER

Gaza Air Strikes, Rocket Fire Resume

Rockets and air strikes began anew Tuesday afternoon, hours before a temporary truce was set to expire. Israel launched an air strike in response to rockets fired from Gaza. Palestinians say a two-year-old girl and a woman in Gaza were reportedly killed by 35 air attacks. Israeli officials say peace talks have collapsed. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister have recalled the Israeli envoys from talks in Cairo. Hamas claims not to have knowledge of the rockets and alleges, “Israel has violated the cease-fire in order to sabotage efforts at a truce.”
