Friend: Sharon Jones Had a Stroke on Election Night

Sharon Jones, the soul singer who passed away on Friday at age 60 after battling pancreatic cancer, reportedly had a stroke on election night while she was watching the returns come in. “She told the people that were there that Trump gave her the stroke. She was blaming Trump for the whole thing,” said Gabriel Roth of the band Dap-Kings, of which Jones was a part. Roth said she had another stroke the next day and “couldn’t talk or really respond anymore.” Members of the band were at her bedside when she passed away.
