Former NBA Star Jerome Kersey Dies at 52

Jerome Kersey, who spent 17 seasons in the NBA as forward for the Portland Trail Blazers and five other teams, died Wednesday at age 52. “Today we lost an incredible person and one of the most beloved players to ever wear a Trail Blazers uniform,” owner Paul Allen said in a statement. “It’s a terrible loss.” The cause of Kersey’s death “has not been confirmed,” according to the statement.
