Former Fox Executive Bill Shine Joins White House

The White House announced Thursday that former Fox News co-president Bill Shine will be taking a job as assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff for communications. The statement says Shine “brings over two decades of television programming, communications, and management experience to the role.” Shine stepped down from his role at Fox News last year after being accused of enabling a culture of sexual harassment at the network. He was also known to be a close ally of late Fox News founder Roger Ailes.
