FL Worker Punished for ‘Climate Change’

A Florida Department of Environmental Protection employee was ordered to take a leave of absense after daring to speak about climate change during a meeting, according to a complaint filed by the group Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility. The PEER complaint alleges that Barton Bibler was asked to remove references to climate change from the minutes of a Florida Coastal Managers Forum, and then ordered to go away for two days—only to be told not to return until a medical exam cleared him. A DEP spokeswoman denied that Florida workers are banned from using “climate change” but didn’t comment on the specific case.
