    Feds Want to Review Police Brutality

    As protests break out in Missouri over the death of an unarmed teen, the Justice Department plans to lead a review of the use of deadly force and tactics when addressing the mentally ill. Early next year, it will consider resurrecting a special law-enforcement commission first created by President Lyndon B. Johnson. Violent crime has decreased in recent years, but there’s growing concern over the law enforcement community’s use of force when dealing with the public. “Nobody has looked at the profession in any holistic way in more than 50 years,” one official said.
