Feds Sue AT&T for Throttling Customers

AT&T is in trouble with the feds for misleading customers who purchased "unlimited" data plans only to find their speeds throttled by up to 90 percent. The Federal Trade Commission filed a complaint on Tuesday claiming customers were not aware that the service was restricted past a certain amount of data. According to the FTC, the provider began the throttles in 2011 and 3.5 million customers have been affected. AT&T says the restrictions were disclosed and only affect 3 percent of users.
