Feds Arrest U.S. Citizen in D.C. Metro Plot

Federal authorities arrested a Northern Virginia man in connection with the alleged terrorist plot to bomb Washington D.C. metro stations. Authorities said Farooque Ahmed, 34, a naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Pakistan, planned to attacked the stations at Arlington National Cemetary, Pentagon City, Crystal City and Court House. Undercover agents led Ahmed to believe he was cooperating in a terrorist plot; he provided them with surveillance of a metro station. It does not appear that he received training from terrorist groups overseas. Ahmed's neighbors said he is married with a young son.
