Federal Judge Charged With Battery

U.S. District Court Judge Mark Fuller stands accused of assaulting his wife at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Atlanta on Saturday. Fuller has been charged with misdemeanor battery and was taken into custody at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Police who responded to the scene spoke with Fuller’s wife, “who stated she was assaulted by her husband,” authorities said. She received treatment by paramedics, but refused to go to a hospital. The 55-year-old judge presided over the 2006 bribery trial of former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman and HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy.
