FCC to Fix Net-Neutrality Rules

The Federal Communications Commission has decided to forego another legal battle and rewrite the rules regulating broadband Internet providers. FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler said the organization will not appeal last month’s U.S. District Court of Appeals decision, which said the FCC illegally treated the Internet as a regulated utility. The new rules will force Internet providers to treat all content equally and level the playing field for smaller companies, which don’t have the same advantages as corporations like Verizon or Comcast.
