Fallon Scores SNL Season's Top Ratings

Is he Jimmy Fallon or Nostradamus? Back in 1998, the young SNL cast member predicted in Alec Baldwin's monologue that he would become a huge star and host the show on Dec. 12, 2011—too bad that's a Monday, SNL research interns. But although he was a few days off, he was right about being a hot commodity. His return to the show Saturday night scored the best ratings this season, with a 5.3 rating in metered-market households, an 8-percent rise from last year's Christmas episode. The show was filled with cameos from SNL alums like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Tracy Morgan, Chris Kattan, Horatio Sanz and Rachel Dratch, and also featured Jude Law and musical guest Michael Buble. It even had an appearance by Jesus, who told Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow to "take it down a notch."
