Facebook Users Decide Who Gets $5M

When Facebook users log on for the holidays, they'll be able to participate in the giving season by voting on their favorite charity. JP Morgan Chase, which donates more than $100 million annually to local nonprofits, is teaming up with the social-networking site to determine how to distribute their philanthropy money. The winning charity will get $1 million, five runner-ups will pocket $100,000, and 100 finalists will each be awarded with $25,000. There are more than 500,000 local charities to choose from.
