Explosion in Ghana's Capital Kills 78

Officials said an explosion at a gas filling station in Ghana's capital city of Accra killed at least 78 people, a spokesman for the national fire brigade told JOYFM radio on Thursday. Many of victims were seeking shelter due to heavy rain and bad weather, Prince Billy Anaglate said. Around a dozen others were taken to a local hospital after the explosion, which is believed to have been an accident in connection to the poor weather.
