Ex-President Morsi’s Son Arrested

Abdullah Morsi, 19, the son of deposed Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, was caught boarding a train heading to Upper Egypt on Friday. Morsi was on the run, officials say, after being sentenced to a year in prison for possession and use of hashish. Morsi, along with one of his friends, was sentenced to a year in prison on July 2. He had been arrested on March 1 after allegedly being found with two joints in a parked car north of Cairo. His defense lawyer claimed the case “was fabricated.”
