Former New York Gov. George Pataki announced his bid for president in a four-minute video posted Thursday. “The system is broken,” he says at the start of the video. “The question is no longer about what our government should do about our government, about our divided union.” The video for the three-term governor dwells heavily on footage of the Freedom Tower and 9/11 memorial, as he is widely expected to tout his experience during the 2001 attacks during his campaign. Pataki’s website has also been updated to reflect his campaign, and features a “People over politics” slogan.
