Henry Rayhons, a former Iowa state legislator, was found not guilty on charges of sexually abusing his wife while she was an Alzheimer's patient at a nursing home. The 78-year-old was accused of having sex with his wife, Donna Rayhons, after staff members told him she was cognitively unable to give consent. Rayhons testified his wife continued to desire and initiate sexual contact, but the couple only kissed on the night in question. His wife died on in August 2014 and after Rayhon's arrest, he decided not to run for re-election. Rayhons faced a felony charge that could have landed him up to 10 years in prison.
