Ex-Argentina President Has Assets Frozen

Financial assets belonging to Argentina’s former president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner were frozen on Friday after the ex-president was charged with damaging national finances after allegedly manipulating the Argentinian Central Bank's exchange while in office. Prosecutors say that at the end of 2015 Kirchner, who held office from 2007 to 2015, caused a loss of monetary authority through speculative dollar sales.
