A big week for celebrity feuds—Hilary Duff and Faye Dunaway are still trading barbs—just got bigger. Etta James, whom Beyoncé portrayed in Cadillac Records, has lashed out at the younger singer and her inaugural performance. The singing legend, known for her rendition of At Last, slammed Beyoncé for performing the song for the Obamas’ first dance. “You guys know your president, right?” she asked the audience at a recent Seattle show. “You know, the one with the big ears? Wait a minute, he ain’t my president…You know that woman he had singing for him, singing my song—she’s going to get her ass whipped.” James continued: “The great Beyoncé. I can’t stand Beyoncé. She has no business up there…singing my song that I’ve been singing forever.” Beyoncé, understandably, had no comment.
