ER Doc Accused of Abusing NYC Patients

A widely known emergency-room doctor at New York City’s Mount Sinai Hospital has been charged with sexually abusing two of his patients. Ironically enough, David H. Newman, 45, has published writings on improving doctor-patient relationships. According to the charging documents, one victim alleges the doc drugged, groped and masturbated on her; while another says he groped her. The two reported instances occurred several months apart.
