Episcopalians Hold Fast on Gay Marriage

Michael Curry, the presiding bishop of the U.S. Episcopal Church, on Friday said that his church has no plans to reverse course on gay marriage, despite being sanctioned by its Anglican peers for allowing same-sex unions. On Thursday members of the Anglican Communion, a fellowship of Anglican churches, voted to make the American Episcopalian Church a non-voting member of the Communion for three years.
