Egypt Jails 4 Gay Men

In a verdict condemned by human-rights monitors, four Egyptian men have been sentenced to as much as eight years in jail for setting up “deviant” sex parties, as well as dressing in women’s clothes and makeup. While the laws in Egypt don’t ban homosexual acts specifically, the courts have used anti-debauchery legislation to go after gays. One of the men was also sentenced to three years of hard labor.
