Dreier Liquidation

Marc Dreier, another con man exposed by the recession, may see 81 pieces of his corporate art collection head to auction in November. Dreier, a once-prominent Manhattan attorney who defrauded clients in bad promissory notes, is serving 20 years in prison and has filed Chapter 11, but still must pay reparations to his debtors and clients. Phillips de Pury is to put the art—which includes pieces by Damien Hirst, Willem de Kooning, and Jasper Johns—on the block in November.
