$26M+ of Lost Cash Returned in Japan

If you're going to lose your wallet or drop a $20 by mistake, Japan is the place to do it. In 2014, around $26 million in mislaid cash was turned into police -- and around 75 percent of these funds actually were returned to their proper owners. In Tokyo alone, 3.56 million found items were handed over to cops, which marked a new record-high for the third year in a row. In comparison, only 122,930 missing items were turned into authorities in London last year, according to Transport for London.
