Delta Cancels 500 Xmas Day Flights

Who’s ready for Christmas dinner at the airport food court? As a winter storm system moves toward the East Coast, threatening to dump snow from Atlanta to Boston over the weekend, Delta Airlines has canceled 500 Christmas Day flights. Delta has joined Continental, United, and AirTran in waving fees to passengers who wish to reschedule trips. Forecasters say it’s impossible to tell right now how heavy the winter storm will be, but they expect combinations of sleet, rain, and snow in varying levels in New York, Boston, Philadelphia and as far south as Atlanta.
