DCCC Out of Debt

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised $61.4 million in 2011, eliminating its previously looming debt. The group's objective is to reelect the president and reclaim Democratic control over the House of Representatives—which would require winning 25 seats. At the beginning of last year the DCCC was $19 million in debt, but now it has $11.6 million to its name. The National Republican Congressional Committee announced having raised $51.8 million by the end of November, though official numbers for 2011 have yet to be released.
