Day of Violence Leaves 4 Dead

A somber reminder of the war in Iraq this Memorial Day: Four people were killed and dozens wounded in separate attacks throughout Iraq today. A roadside bomb in Baghdad killed a policeman and wounded 10, while another policeman was killed in Kirkuk in an attack that also wounded at least four of his colleagues. In Mosul, a parked car bomb struck an Iraqi army patrol, killing one soldier and wounding a bystander. Also among the dead was a leader of the anti-insurgent Sunni forces, who was killed in Baghdad by two gunmen who then fled the scene.
