The officer who fatally shot Michael Brown in August quietly wed a fellow Ferguson police officer last month. Darren Wilson, 28, married Barbara Spradling, 37, on Oct. 24. One of the two witnesses was Wilson’s lawyer, Greg Kloeppel. They applied for a marriage license in Clayton, Missouri, “steps away from the courthouse where the grand jury has been meeting,” The New York Times reported. Wilson has largely hidden himself since he was revealed to be Brown’s killer. A marriage-license clerk said “she was surprised that Officer Wilson went there, as opposed to another county or state.” A grand jury is expected to announce whether Wilson will be charged in Brown’s death later Monday.
