Curt Schilling: I’m Running for Senate

Curt Schilling plans to run against Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts’ 2018 U.S. Senate race, the former All-Star pitcher announced Tuesday. “I’ve made my decision. I’m going to run,” the former Boston Red Sox star said on Rhode Island radio station WPRO. “But I haven’t talked to Shonda, my wife. And ultimately it’s going to come down to how her and I feel this would affect our marriage and our kids.” The ardently conservative ex-pitcher has been an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump’s presidential run, and he was fired from ESPN this year for posting a meme mocking transgender individuals. He also drew controversy during his TV tenure by suggesting Hillary Clinton “should be buried under a jail somewhere.”
