    Crist Readying Indy Bid?

    More evidence that Florida Governor Charlie Crist could soon be ditching the Republican Party to run for Senate as an independent: Crist pulled TV advertisements in key markets over the weekend, a move that top GOP officials think signals “that Crist has made his decision to run as an independent,” says Hotline. More writing on the wall: Crist did not answer, nor has he returned, a call that National Republican Senate Committee Chairman John Cornyn placed on Friday. Cornyn was calling to encourage Crist to drop out of the race should he lose to Tea Party challenger Marco Rubio.
