Cowboys' New Stadium Features Impressive Art Collection
Tony Romo, meet Olafur Eliasson. The Dallas Cowboys’ new $1.15 billion stadium features work from 17 international artists—such as German painter Franz Ackermann, conceptual artist Mel Bochner, and an installation by Eliasson entitled Moving Stars Take Time. To fill the three million-square-foot space, many artists experimented with size in their installations, such Ackerman’s 40-foot-by-60-foot pastiche of moving images, Coming Home (Meet Me) At the Waterfall. Nothing intimidates a visiting team quite like installation art.
