Couples Who Sued Davis Want New Licenses

Same-sex couples who were given marriage licenses in Rowan County, Kentucky are suing to ensure that Kim Davis does not issue any more altered versions. In a court motion filed Monday, the ACLU claims Davis is still meddling with marriage licenses, despite a court order. Davis allegedly “confiscated all the original forms, and provided a changed form” that didn’t include Rowan County’s name or her name. These licenses bare a "stamp of animus," according tot he ACLU and "resulted in material alterations to those licenses that render their validity questionable at best." Davis's lawyer said she is making a "good faith" effort to comply with the order.
