Trump Signs Stopgap Bill, Ending Shutdown

President Donald Trump signed a short-term bill funding the federal government Monday evening, lifting the government shutdown that began Friday. The bill, which will fund the federal government through Feb. 8, passed 81-18 in the Senate, and 266-150 in the House of Representatives. The bill extends the Children’s Health Insurance Program for six years but does not renew Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
