Computer Failure Causes Flight Delays

Over 3,400 flights were delayed or canceled Sunday after a computer failure at an air-traffic control center Saturday. The glitch impacted East Coast flights, specifically in New York, Washington D.C. and North Carolina. Over 8,000 were delayed because of the error Saturday. “The FAA is continuing to diagnose the cause of yesterday’s problem, and has not seen a reoccurrence of the original issues,” Laura Brown, spokesperson for the agency said.
